Following our first canine clinical trial in 2017, we have been on a mission to help as many animals as possible and continue to invest in research. After conducting research on the safety and efficacy of ElleVet hemp for horses, we are excited to introduce ElleVet Equine Pellets.
 
ElleVet Equine Pellets contain 448mg of active hemp compounds per scoop. This powerful concentration provides optimal absorption which is key to the efficacy of our products. Our innovative equine pellets were developed under strict veterinary oversight, and are backed by two pharmacokinetic and safety studies, plus three pilot efficacy studies.

FAQs

How long does it take for the pellets to work?
Many horses respond within 24-72 hours, but may take up to four weeks to see maximum effects. Exact response may vary depending on your horse’s support needs and administration.
How are the Equine Pellets made?
The pellets are harvested, dried, and milled, from our proprietary, Colorado-grown hemp cultivar, and are designed to retain the naturally high potency of the plant. The pellets are finished with a small amount of molasses and natural dried carrot to minimize the hemp smell and flavor.
How should these pellets be stored and how long will they last?
Pellets should be stored in a cool dry place in the original container that they were received in. Keep sealed when not in use, and store away from moisture or excessive heat. If stored properly the pellets have a 12-month shelf life.
How is this product different from other ElleVet products?
All ElleVet Hemp products are made using our proprietary hemp strain. Unlike our companion animal products, in which the active plant compounds are extracted and combined with oil, Equine Pellets are formulated with the raw hemp plant material containing the same powerful blend of hemp compounds.
Are the pellets flavored?
The pellets are flavored with natural carrot powder and a small amount of molasses.
How long will one container last?
Expected days per container will vary depending on horse weight and administration amount. For the average 500kg horse, one container should last 25 days (2 scoops, twice/day) to 33 days (1.5 scoops, twice/day).
Can I give my horse a different amount than recommended?
Yes! All horses are different, and you may need to increase or decrease the amount you give depending on your horse’s unique needs and response to the pellets. Please feel free to contact our Customer Experience team if you have questions about administration!
Are the hemp pellets safe?
Yes! ElleVet has completed two published, peer-reviewed safety studies and one open label trial demonstrating that our hemp products are safe for daily use in horses.
Are the ElleVet Pellets Show Safe?
While ElleVet Pellets are safe to use, they are not considered “show safe.” Avoid using this product while participating at recognized shows (USEF, FEI, AQHA, APHA, ARCI)
Will this make my horse high?
No! ElleVet Pellets will not make your horse high when taken within recommended doses. The pellets contain only trace amounts of the compound that causes a “high” and will not cause an adverse psychoactive effect. If you notice any lethargy, you may decrease the amount of pellets to achieve the desired effect.
Can I give the pellets if my horse is on other supplements/medications?
Yes, ElleVet Equine Pellets are safe to take with other supplements and most medications. We recommend letting your veterinarian know that you are adding ElleVet Pellets to your horse’s regimen. Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns.
Is there a discount if I purchase multiple containers of ElleVet Equine Pellets at a time?
If you regularly use ElleVet Equine Pellets, we recommend starting a subscription – you’ll save 25% on your first order and 15% on each renewal order. If you prefer to order as needed, you can still save 15% when you purchase 3 or more containers of Equine Pellets at a time. ElleVet Equine Hemp Pellets
